The Mothers' Union, founded in 1876, demonstrates the Christian faith in action by the transformation of communities worldwide through the nurture of the family in its many forms. This is achieved through its members who sign up to the aims and objectives and work with the church at a local level to carry out this mission.  Mothers’ Union believes in the importance of families and in quality time spent together to build meaningful relationships that strengthen families. Our members encourage family life by being involved in local initiatives that respond to the needs of the community.

The focus of the Mothers' Union mission is in 3 strategic steps:

Pray for relationships to be flourishing and loving

Enable development
of all kinds: economic, relational and personal so that family life is strengthened

Campaign for social justice for those on the margins and for greater recognition of the value of stable family life

Members are not all mothers or even all women! They may be single, married, parents, grandparents or young adults.

We enjoy being with Mothers’ Union members at the other churches in our deanery for special services and events.
